What FIFA wants FIFA gets! Hamilton Council employees spent 9000 hours on the recent FIFA U-20 World Cup. At $100 per hour this is nearly $1million of rate payers money which is unaccounted for. Council also put in $358,000 cash and other business’s and stakeholders matched with a further $358,000.
41,500 spectators paid to attend with all that money going to FIFA. Our city subsidised by my calculation $39 per ticket. Is this what we should be doing with your money?
